Confucianism is also a Chinese religious movement based on ethics and philosophy. The founder of Confucianism is a Chinese philosopher known as Confucius. This movement is a complex system of political, social, moral, quasi-religious and philosophical thought that has been so influential in history and culture of East Asia. Taoism and Confucianism have certain elements that allow the Chinese to overcome American racism. Some of the Confucianism elements include value of morality, spirituality, humanity, filial piety, loyalty, gentleman and relationships. On the other hand, Taoism’s elements include fire, earth, metal, water and wood.

In order to experience an easy assimilation to the American society, Taoism and Confucianism has to integrate certain Hinduism sacred elements. Some of the elements include common scriptures, common ideals, common deities, common beliefs and common practices. The elements have truthfulness, friendship, compassion, purity, self-restraint, fortitude and non-violence. They also emphasize on spiritual values, intellectual values, biological and material values. The Confucianism and Taoism religions have elements that are almost related to the Hinduism religion; hence, this makes it possible for the religions to easily get assimilated in the American society. Since Confucians focus on integrity and harmony, they can easily coexist with the Hinduism and even Taoism. Therefore, the coexistence of the three religions has been made possible by the common beliefs, ideas and principles.

The founding father of the religions had the intentions of making America a religious region. This is because they introduced religious movements that have slight differences in order to subdivide the people into each of the religions. If they wanted a religion less society, they would have merged their religions so that people have one movement and common beliefs. In as much as these religions have a lot in common, they have certain features that distinguish each from the other. The intention of Confucius was to create a religious society where people worshiped gods, and held to certain beliefs. Taoism was also introduced to promote compassion, integrity and humility among human beings. Just like other religions, Confucianism, Taoism and Hinduism have certain values that control mankind’s behaviors. Therefore, it is explicit that the founder fathers of the religions had an intention of promoting religions in the American society.

In almost all the societies, there are many religions with different beliefs and teachings. Therefore, such societies ought to practice religious equality in order to maintain peace and harmony. Just like any other aspect of life, it is highly essential that the authorities exercise equality among all the existing religions in the society. For instance, in the American society, Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism ought to be given equal rights and support so as to feel the sense of belonging in the society.  Equality in religions promotes peace in the society, since none of them feels undermined by the authorities. Equality is possible if the governments provide freedom for all the religious movements in the society, as long as, the religions are promoting peace, harmony and morality among members of the society. Additionally, promotion of equality among religious in the society enhances harmony among the people as conflicts are amicably solved. It also gives the members a sense of belonging; hence, a source of motivation. Otherwise, some of the religions will feel that they are not favored and unwelcomed in the society Therefore; it is possible for every society to practice religious equality in order to ensure everlasting peace.
